Who can be listed
- Clinicians with an active Texas license: LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, psychologists, LCDCs, psychiatrists and nurse practitioners, and associates under supervision. More for LCDCs.
- Recovery coaches and peer specialists with a Texas peer specialist certification. An NPI helps but isn't needed. More for recovery coaches.
- Treatment programs (IOP, PHP and outpatient) with their state license.
- Listings that are accurate: real insurance panels, real fees, and a way to reach you that someone answers.
We take down a listing whose license or certification lapses, or that misleads clients. Featured is a paid placement, so it's always labeled.
Questions
Is the online booking really free?
Yes. Online booking comes with every listing at no extra cost. You set your hours, clients book open times from your listing, and confirmations and reminders go out by text. If you also want notes, paperwork and insurance claims in the same place, that's Cima EHR, and it's optional.
Do I have to accept every booking?
No. Choose "Confirm each request myself" and every booking waits for you to accept or decline it, or "Book instantly" and open times are booked straight away. You can switch any time, and only the hours you choose are ever offered.
Is the listing really free? What's the catch?
Yes, a basic listing is free for good, with free online booking. We make money two ways: providers who want more visibility pay a flat monthly fee for a labeled Featured spot, and some practices choose Cima EHR, our practice software, for notes, paperwork and claims. Neither is required.
Do you take a cut of my sessions, or charge per client?
No. A listing is free, and Featured is the same flat fee however many clients find you. Cima is never paid per referral, click, call, booking or client. Paying for patient referrals is illegal in Texas, under the Texas Patient Solicitation Act and, for substance use treatment, the federal EKRA law, so the directory is built to stay well clear of it.
I already use another scheduler. Can I keep it?
Yes. Your "Book online" button can open your own booking page instead. Listings that show live open times through Cima's booking are shown ahead of the others, so many providers switch, but you don't have to.
What does Featured get me?
A spot at the top of the searches that match you and at the top of your city's page. Featured listings share the top spots in turn, a different set each visit, and each one is labeled Featured. The price is flat; it doesn't depend on clicks or bookings.
What else is free?
Our free tools: a superbill maker for clients who want to be paid back by their insurance, and a Good Faith Estimate maker for self-pay clients. They work in your browser, nothing you type is sent anywhere, and you don't need a listing to use them.
How fast does my listing go up?
Usually within two business days. We check your license, set up your listing and booking from what you send, and send it to you to approve before it goes live.
